Welcome To Spooky's House (Part 5)

I woke up yet again in the elevator. I got up and lazily pushed the elevator button and sat back down. I waved my head around to shake the sleepiness off and get ready for a hike. Lily was shaking in her sleep while Jack was still twitching. I woke both of them up, and they took a while to get the sleepiness out of themselves. Finally, we left the elevator and walked for a few rooms before we entered a dark room. When our eyes adjusted, it was looking like a dungeon. We went through one of the doors and found a story about a merchant who was drowned, then cursed the village and made children into puppets.

Lily: I hope I don’t become a puppet.
Jack: Don’t jinx yourself.
Me: I wonder how well he makes them..

We found a key in a bloody pool, we were ignorant though. We have seen enough to get used to blood. When we finally went through some doors, we found a giant skull door. The key opened it. When we went inside, we saw some puppets.. Lily was terrified, but Jack was curious.. Me, on the other hand, just didn’t want to become one..

Voice: *laughing*

Jack: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!
Lily: *scream* JACK! YOU ARE SCARING THE CRAP OUT OF ME!
Me: GUYS LOOK!

We both looked forward.. It was a smiling man. At least, we thought it was a man.. It looked like a life-sized puppet.

Jack: I don’t know who you are or what you do, but you stay the hell away from me and my friends! C’mon guys, lets get out of here.

Voice: You don’t talk to my Ben like that..
Jack: Huh?

A huge thing swept from above us. We panicked and started to run. I heard the sound of wings flapping behind me. It shot something at us that made us a bit sick.. Like poison. While we were running, Jack yelled in pain and fell down. When I looked behind him, there he was, the puppet man. Smiling at me with a needle behind his back, innocently.

Lily: JACK! ARE YOU OKAY?!
Jack: It’s just a pain in the back.. I’ll heal.

Jack turned around and was shocked to see the puppet man.

Jack: WHY DID YOU STAB ME IN THE BACK?! *cough*
Lily: *cough* *cough*
Me: *cough*

We all started coughing all of a sudden. We coughed and coughed and we ran out of breath. My eyes became watery and I felt sick all over. I fell down to the ground, I fainted right after that. I heard some voices, but I couldn’t open my eyes.

Voice: I know, but they are just kids!
Voice: They come every once in a while..
Voice: I think I might’ve killed them..
Voice: No.. I think they are okay..
Voice: ------

I fainted again, and couldn’t hear no more. I had no idea who was talking to who.. But when I woke up again, Jack and Lily were next to me, still fainted and on the ground. I felt better, but still sick. I think I was poisoned by some powder.. But I don’t know who sprayed it. I managed to wake Jack up and explain the thing to him. He understood and we both tried to wake up Lily, she wasn’t waking up, so Jack volunteered to carry her for some rooms.

Jack: So, who do you think poisoned us?
Me: It shot it right at us..
Jack: I thought only insects could do that..
Me: What shoots powder?
Jack: Wasps, Insects.. Moths?
Me: Oh please, Jack. Do you really think there is a giant Moth back there?

We turned around in confusion then faced front again.

Jack: I’m not really sure. But hell, anything could happen in this huge monster mansion.
Me: True.

Lily woke up, and she started walking again.. But she still felt a bit lightheaded, so I offered to hold her hand so she knew where she was going..

Lily: What are you guys talking about?
Me: Jack made up that a huge moth poisoned us with poison powder.
Lily: *giggle* Really, Jack?

Jack stopped in confusion.

Jack: Where’s the elevator?
Me: Yeah, we’ve been walking for a while..
Lily: Best to keep walking then!

We followed Lily’s words and we kept walking. After a while of talking about huge moths, we finally came across an elevator. But we weren’t tired to stop. I pushed the elevator button and the elevator went down.

Jack: I wish this elevator had some music..
Lily: It would attract the monsters.
Jack: Monsters have no taste.
Me: They might have feelings.

We started talking to calm ourselves down until we stopped in a strange room.

Jack: Huh..? Threshold of Consciousness? What does that mean?
Lily: It’s a line..

We walked over it and a cat materialized in front of us.

Cat: Are you lost, little ones?

Jack: Little..?
Lily: Excuse me.. Where are we..?

Cat: You are in the Threshold Of Consciousness.

Me: So, this is all just our imagination..?
Lily: That’s a bit complicated..
Cat: This place can help those that are ready, but expect turmoil more than you are used to.

Lily: I’ve been confused.
Me: Yeah.
Jack: I bet we can handle this level of turmoil, Cat.

We looked around and saw two short hallways on opposite sides. We went on the left side first, and found some broken doors. We finally found one that could open and went in.

Lily: EW! THERE IS RED BUGS ON THE FLOOR!
Jack: WHAT THE HELL?
Me: Ew.. This is the turmoil? Why is there red crawly things on the floor..

Cat: Two sides of the same coin, knowing your projections can help you achieve freedom.

Jack: O-okay.

We left the room in disgust and went into the other. It was better, but it was an office.

Cat: The mask you wear serves its purpose well, but be careful not to lose yourself in it.

Jack: Mask? I’m not wearing a-
Lily: Let’s go Jack.

We went into the other hallway and accessed the only door that could open, there, it was an eternity of space.

Cat: Balance is the key to keeping your mind free and sane.

Lily: Wooah..
Jack: Trippy.
Me: Space..

We finally left, and approached the last hallway, which was covered in blood, the clock mysteriously stopped and we moved through the door. The cat approached us one final time..

Cat: Knowing your shadow can greatly help you, but be ready to see what you rather not be.

We finally approached the door, and entered a room with bloody guts of walls.

Jack: Ew!
Lily: Disgusting..
Me: Is it blood..?

We finally stepped through the end of the hallway. When we did, my eyesight blurred, when I came to, there was a red border covering my eye.

Jack: What’s with my eyes?
Lily: I can’t see good..

I looked behind us. There was a huge wall coming towards us, it looked like a wall of bloody faces.

Me: LILY! JACK! RUN!!!

We ran and while we did, we saw faces which Jack nearly gets distracted by.
Jack: Guys, don’t pay attention to the faces on the wall! That’s what the cat told us!
Lily: Right!

We ran for a lot of rooms and we arrived at an elevator. I pressed the button and we went down, and kept going..

Jack: What was that thing..?
Lily: I have NO idea..
Me: Me neither.

We walked and talked about the thing we just saw and what was it. I kept my wits and watch. We finally arrived at another room.

Spooky: Well! Here you are! Alive and.. Still here.. You just.. Keep on going don’t you? The next door has been fixed up for you.. So, enjoy and keep moving on.. You little.. Fleshy live ones..

Jack: Let’s take a break here.
Lily: Yeah.
Me: I could use a rest.

We all spread in the room and fell asleep. I still don’t know if there was a giant moth, or if that was a wall of faces.. Or if it even was a cat..
